NACAC U18 & U23 Championships
Tlaxcala, Mexico | July 10–12, 2026
A Celebration of the Future of Athletics
The North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) successfully concluded the 2026 NACAC U18 & U23 Championships, held from July 10–12 at the Estadio Una Nueva Historia in Tlaxcala, Mexico. The championships brought together the region’s finest young athletes, providing an exceptional platform for the next generation of champions to compete at the highest continental level.
Athletes representing NACAC Member Federations competed over three days of exciting track and field competition, demonstrating outstanding talent, determination, and sportsmanship while pursuing continental titles and valuable international experience even with the challenge of the altitude.
Outstanding Organization
The Local Organizing Committee, in collaboration with the Mundo de Atletismo en Mexico, the Government of the State of Tlaxcala, CONADE, volunteers, officials, and NACAC Athletics, delivered a first-class championship.
The world-class facilities at the Estadio Una Nueva Historia provided excellent conditions for competition, allowing athletes to perform at their highest level while ensuring an outstanding experience for teams, coaches, officials, and spectators.
Developing Tomorrow’s Champions
The NACAC U18 & U23 Championships continue to serve as one of the Association’s most important development competitions.
Many of today’s Olympic, World Championship, and senior NACAC medalists began their international careers through these championships. The competition remains a vital steppingstone in the athlete development pathway throughout North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
The event not only showed exceptional athletic performances but also reinforced NACAC’s commitment to youth development, education, and excellence in athletics.
Excellence Beyond Performance
The championships were conducted under World Athletics Competition and Technical Rules with the support of experienced international technical officials from across the NACAC Area.
The dedication and professionalism of referees, judges, starters, photo finish personnel, race walking judges, technical delegates, and volunteers ensured fair competition and the highest standards of officiating throughout the event.
NACAC extends its sincere appreciation to every official whose commitment contributed to the success of these championships.
